Yes! The price does include a complete, working robot with control cabinet, cables and pendant!
The M93A is the latest and best of the S3 controllers with a fantastic reputation for hardware reliability and software stability. The use of double safety chains and standardised connections means that the M93 is remarkably easy to integrate and has the processing power to operate a simple cell without the need for a separate PLC or HMI. This coupled with our lowest ever prices for this type of machine means that the sub £10K Robot cell is now a reality. This gives companies to install robotic systems that can see a return in a few months and funding can often be found in maintenance budgets without the need for major "CAP EX" approval.
The ABB S3 control with the much liked ARLA language is simple to learn but highly adaptable. Many teach pendant languages are pre-loaded and are easy to select. A Multi tap transformer again helps the robot be suitable for installations across the world. ABB are still considered probably the best robot company in the world and in 1993 when these machines were made they were arguably a considerable distance ahead of the competition. Many of the technologies used and benchmarks set by the M93 IRB 2000 are still current.
The IRB 2000 Robot arm itself is again well regarded in industry both for its capabilities and its reliability. Using resolver technology that does away with the need for calibration tools or jigs this saves time and money in setup. Simply position the robot within 1 motor revolution of its calibration position (very easily achieved using markers on the Axis) start the calibration process and the robot will know exactly where it is.
With a 10kg payload and over 1.5m of reach the IRB 2000 robot is excellent in light handling, de-burring, welding and cutting applications. They have also been integrated to great effect in machine tending applications too. Truly a multi purpose machine, having full 6 axis flexibility for our price in a small/medium size robot means that there are hundreds of applications for these machines where cost may have been a limitation before. We have sold well over 100 IRB 2000 robots in the last few years and they continue to be very popular as they are one of the cheapest ways of reliably automating a process.
